The Challenge
Additive metal manufacturing via Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) poses precision challenges. High precision is required to minimize waste, and the mesh-based workflow requires deep computational geometry expertise.
Our Contribution
We created tools tailored to Alloyed's needs. We solved geometry challenges like generating support structures or 3D nesting, building integrations into Rhino/Grasshopper within a CI/CD process.
The Outcome
Faster geometry preparation for AM, enhanced print quality through better mesh analysis and support generation, and simplified workflows.
