Phenome Link — Live Grasshopper Canvas over Loopback HTTP for AI Agents
A Grasshopper plugin, a Rhino plugin and a VS Code extension, versioned together. The live document, its wires, data and solver state are readable over HTTP on loopback, and the same verbs edit it. The VS Code extension carries an MCP server, so an agent calls them as named tools. There is no account and no service, nothing leaves the machine, and the code is MIT licensed.
Read and Edit the Canvas
The document comes back as JSON or a Mermaid flowchart, with every wire, a parameter's data and tree paths, and the canvas as a picture. Groups are placed, wired and laid out in batches, with undo and redo.
Rhino State off the UI Thread
A second server in the Rhino plugin reports whether Rhino is idle, busy or blocked, names the dialog holding it and presses a button by name. A long command gets waited for, a modal dialog gets answered.
Visible Agent Activity
While an agent works, every viewport and the canvas carry a two-pixel orange border that goes out a few seconds after its last action. Every action is logged in a journal with its author.
