Object Ontology — OPM System Models in JSON, Edited in VS Code
A VS Code extension for Object-Process Methodology (ISO 19450). A model is a .opm.json file with objects, processes, their states and the links between them; data structures stay in JSON Schema files the objects point to. The extension is in preview, at version 0.1.
Diagram Editor
The model is drawn in ISO 19450 notation. Every change made on the diagram is written back to the JSON file as one edit, and undo works on it like on typed text.
Validator
Checks the file against the format schema and the OPM rules, and compares object states with the enums in the referenced JSON Schemas. The opm command runs the same checks in CI and fails the build on errors.
OPL and Mermaid Output
Renders a markdown document with Mermaid diagrams and OPL, the controlled-English sentence form of OPM. GitHub and VS Code display it without extra tools.
