Volvox plugin is an advanced point cloud manipulation and analysis in Rhino/Grasshopper. The architecture of Volvox is based on two concepts – a command interpreter and mutlithreading. While the interpreter overcomes the limitations of visual programming (the finite amount of RAM), multithreading provides an optimal CPU utlization.
The plugin was developed in CITA within the DURAARK framework (Durable Architectural Knowledge) which is a collaborative project developing methods and tools for the semantic enrichment and long-term preservation of architectural knowledge and data.
