    The Challenge

Designing bespoke orthoses for patients requires a precise and customizable approach that accounts for individual anatomy and specific medical needs. Medical specialists may face challenges in modifying raw 3D scans of patients’ limbs to create braces that align with motion guides and treatment goals. The process can be time-intensive and lacks intuitive tools tailored to this specialized workflow, making it harder to achieve optimal results efficiently.

    Our Contribution

Object developed a specialized software solution that streamlines the design and customization of personalized orthoses. The software includes tools to modify 3D scans of patients’ limbs, enabling medical specialists to refine the scanned geometry based on specific goals and motion requirements. Key features include:

Custom Orthosis Design Interface: Provides an intuitive environment where specialists can design braces tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

3D Scan Modification Tools: Simplifies adjustments to scanned limb geometry to align with motion guides and therapeutic objectives.

    The Outcome

The software empowers medical professionals to create precise, patient-specific orthoses with efficiency. Automating and simplifying complex modifications reduces time spent on design and ensures braces meet both functional and therapeutic requirements. This solution enhances patient care by enabling the creation of high-quality orthoses that align with individual anatomy and treatment goals.
