Leading Foot Technology (LFT) uses advanced technology to facilitate the design and production of bespoke orthopedic insoles, ensuring patients receive personalized care that improves mobility. The Challenge
LFT’s mission of providing tailored orthopedic insoles required a smooth workflow for medical professionals, many of whom do not have advanced 3D modeling skills. Customizing insoles for each patient is essential but can be complex and time-consuming. Additionally, LFT recently merged technologies from several companies into a unified software solution. This consolidation required integrating various functionalities into a single, user-friendly tool that could simplify the design process while maintaining high customization.
Our Contribution
Object worked with LFT to develop an intuitive software solution that simplifies the creation of custom insoles. We created a Rhino-based plug-in that hides Rhino’s interface, providing a simplified environment designed specifically for foot specialists. This user-friendly tool allows specialists to design insoles without needing advanced CAD skills.
By enabling professionals to design insoles tailored to each patient’s needs, the plug-in supports mass customization while keeping a high level of personalization. This lets specialists focus on their expertise—treating patients—while relying on LFT for efficient production.
